  • Something special about this wine, I can’t quite put my thumb on it.

    2013 - 01.30

I'm having a fruit salad for dinner. Well it's mostly grapes actually. OK, all grapes. Fermented grapes. I'm having wine for dinner.

It’s been very rainy in Phoenix lately which is a rarity in the desert. Though the rain in Spain may fall mainly on the plain, the rain Phoenix falls mainly in small 5-10 minute spells but somehow still on floods the roads. A little change in weather is always nice in a place where the only weather we have it hot, hotter, and clothing should be optional. With the changing weather we had a little change of our own, an organic wine. Over all we lack the ability to care if our wine was produced in a field that used pesticides, see as alcohol itself is a poison a delicious, delicious poison. So this week we were being organically poisoned, yay health.

Green thumb - Red Table Wine

Green thumb – Red Table Wine

Green thumb is a certified Organic Red Table Wine from California. I was unable to find the ABV on the bottle, all I could figure was that it was on the cork cover, because it was removed before I got a hold of the bottle, so weren’t sure how strong in actual was but I would place an educated guess at around 13.5% based on taste and similar wines we have tried. What I do know is that we bought it at Fresh and Easy for $6.99. This was a pretty good deal for this one as it was well received. Bridget gave it, “A hard 6.” Dante and Chad where both ecstatic about this one, they couldn’t get enough both giving it, “A fully erect 7” oh my. Thaddeus who’s not really a fan of Red actually like this one too, though not in his tops, he gave it a “I’d get drunk on that.”

    Rating:
       Bridget – A hard 6
       Dante – A fully erect 7
       Chad – A fully erect 7
Thaddeus – I’d get drunk on this
