Diamonds Mischeif with Yellow Tail in the Big House

    2012 - 11.28

I vow to drink more wine so I can do something crafty with the corks.

As those of you who follow us on Facebook are already aware. We are now saving our corks for Dante. He has volunteered to do something crafty with them. I will update you as he makes progress.

In the post Turkey day blissfulness we were down two members both Chad and Gina. Sadly could not make it tonight though we do expect them back next week. Though tonight we will let you once again enjoy our naughty little threesome.

Though there where only three regulars in attendance, we did have a few guests to help us make sure none of the wonderful wines were wasted. Tonight we will be presenting you with 3 red wines and 1 white wine. I have noticed that our red wines have been out numbering our whites by quite a few lately. Do not worry my fans of whites we will be balancing it out soon.

    Happy Winesgiving!

    2012 - 11.27

Happy Thanksgiving to you, my lovely little winos, I mean connoisseurs of wines of all verities both in taste and quantity!

Welcome again to our quest to discover the best wine for the best price you can. Tonight was very special because tomorrow is thanksgiving, though Gina sadly was not able to make it we did have plenty of guests and tried a plethora of wines mostly Reds (this was not a shrewd attempt at tongue and cheek racism). With all our guests and the happy go lucky triviality I made a mistake, sorry it happens on the few of the wines I missed Bridget’s opinion. She was there I just failed to pick up on this fact until it was too late. So my apologies to you the reader I’ll make up for it with a few extra humorous quips.

Question: What did the grape say when it got stepped on?
Answer: Nothing – but it let out a little whine.

    Question: What’s a Scottsdale girl’s favorite wine?
Answer: ‘Daddy! can I go to Cabo!’

Hopefully I have won back your hearts and minds. I have? Good deal, then let get a move on. So many wines, so little time let’s get a move on.

Friends and booze you know it’s a good night.

    2012 - 10.24

Keep calm and carry a glass of wine.

To the reader who requested Fat Bastard Shiraz, we are working on getting it. I looked for it at Total Wine, but were out of it when I went in. I will continue to work on finding it, and we will try it once I do. Just not this week, sorry.

Wine night is more than just trying new things each week for us. It’s about friends getting together to talk about the good times, the bad times, and the memories. It gives us a chance to really gain a better understanding of one another. We each have our own very distinct tastes and opinions on most issues. I believe this is why our little group works so well together, we all bring our own brand of insanity to the table.

Anyway this weeks wines where a nice mix, a little bit of something for everyone. We had a nicely sweet Moscato and a red blend by Apothic to celebrate the Halloween season. We also tried mixing the two and found it to be a nice combo wine. We didn’t rate the combo, maybe that should be a new feature? Each week we also mix the wines we try to see what mixes well. What do you think? Tell us in the comments.

We came here for Eye Candy and some Gran Spumante

    2012 - 10.17

I wish I could trade my heart in for another liver. That way I could drink more and care less.

Welcome to Wednesday Wine Night. We have a quality selection for you to read about this time, cause we are taking the wino thing to a new level of awesome. Please hold your applause until we are finished. Sadly Gina was not feeling well and was unable to attend this week, we were sad but persevered. The Wine Night must go on. If you would like to drink along with us we wouldn’t discourage it(Wednesday Wine Night does not condone the underage use of alcohol). Okay now hold on to your glasses boy’s and girl’s this should be fun.

We like to keep a good balance here at Wine Night as we have some people who prefer Reds and some who prefer Whites, and a few who just like to look at the bottom of their glass. We use very nice glasses. We had both Red and White wine this week and we may have mixed them a little. Our Red was called Eye Candy which just happened to also have been my nickname in high school. Our white was a nice little sparkling number called, “Gran Spumante”. It was a decent matchup this week we were a happy group.

Getting Unruly with a mix of red’s and a white.

    2012 - 09.26

I like this wine. It only took four bottles to make you charming.

This week we were short the presents of the lovely Miss. Gina, as she was traveling the world. Well not so much the world but the east coast of the good old US of A. The rest of us held to our weekly duties of consuming and reviewing this weeks wines and a special week it was usually we review 2 or sometimes 3 wines, not this week though. We ramped it up to a whopping 4 wines this week, 1 white and 3 reds.
