Diamonds Mischeif with Yellow Tail in the Big House

    2012 - 11.28

I vow to drink more wine so I can do something crafty with the corks.

As those of you who follow us on Facebook are already aware. We are now saving our corks for Dante. He has volunteered to do something crafty with them. I will update you as he makes progress.

In the post Turkey day blissfulness we were down two members both Chad and Gina. Sadly could not make it tonight though we do expect them back next week. Though tonight we will let you once again enjoy our naughty little threesome.

Though there where only three regulars in attendance, we did have a few guests to help us make sure none of the wonderful wines were wasted. Tonight we will be presenting you with 3 red wines and 1 white wine. I have noticed that our red wines have been out numbering our whites by quite a few lately. Do not worry my fans of whites we will be balancing it out soon.

    Pillar and Castle

    2012 - 08.02

This week was a popular one we ended up having 8 people show up for wine night. It is quickly becoming the place to be on a Wednesday night. We tried “Pillar Box Red” from Australia and “Castle Rock” from California.

Henry’s Drive Vignerons – Pillar Box Red

The pillar box was a red blend which Dante, Chad, and Bridget are usually big fans of, though this one didn’t make their palates cut. Chad went so far as to say the Pillar Box tasted like plastic. Bridget was right there with Chad give it a fairly low rating of “Tastes like shit”. Thaddeus thought the bite it had at the end killed the fact that it started off sweet for a red. Dante put the nails in the coffin sealing the fate of this poor bottle, rating it “Like drinking bong water”. Though we’ve had much worse and it will get you drunk at 14.5%, overall no one liked it. It’s not likely one we will try again.
