Trying on a new Ensemble from a few old friends.

    2012 - 12.05

Wine drinkers make the best friends. What's your name again?

I’m adding a new feature to the review this week, so will be looking for ways to make the reviews more interesting to you the reader. So please feel free to tell us what you like, hate, or would like to see in the comments or via email contactus@wednesdaywine.com and I will do my best to make something worth following.

Hello again my lovely little lushs, we’re glad you’ve decided to join we again. What a wine night we have for you. Three little wines rated by all five of our lovely people. Yes that is correct tonight was the first night in almost two months that everyone of us where able to make it.

We found the and matched it with some New Age.

    2012 - 11.07

President Barack Obama holding a wine glass.

Yesterday was the presidential election. Not going to spout any political opinions I’m tired of them and I’m sure you are too. Just thought it would be nice to record what we were drinking the night after the election. That my friends will be all the politics you will be finding here.

Welcome once again to another exciting edition of Wednesday Wine Night, I know your excited to get to the reviews, first thought I would give you a little Halloween recap. We didn’t dress-up for Halloween night but we did all dress-up over the weekend. See we still have our childlike spirit! Bridget was a Garden Fairy (she was just precious). Dante was half-business and half-country (you won’t find that in the stores.) Gina was a classy lady from the 50’s (she tends to be the classy one.) Chad was dirty sheriff (I’ll let you figure that one out.) Thaddeus was Chris Farley as a Chippendales (we think he may secretly have a collection of stripper costumes in his closet.) We all enjoyed our Halloween weekend, I hope you did too.

This week we tried one that was already popular with a few of us a Rose from New Age, and also guess what a Shiraz by Fat Bastard which was the first wine that was suggested to us in the comments on Getting down on the farm. Now I am going to warn you that it wasn’t to popular, but please suggest others in the comments or by email contactus@wednesdaywine.com.

    Sparkling Raspberry Cupcake

    2012 - 09.12

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy wine and that's pretty much the same thing.

In the last few months Wednesday Wine Night has become very popular in our social group. Everyone wants in; I mean it is justifiable midweek drinking who wouldn’t want in? So it’s not uncommon for someone who not a regular to join us, this was the first week in a while that it was just our standard cast and crew which made it nice and chill, sort of a Wine Night Classic.

This Week on Wednesday Wine Night, the group sampled a Sparkling Raspberry from Weibel Vineyards. Then they decided why stop now and tried a Chardonnay called Cupcake by Central Coast and that’s not all, they washed down the Cupcake with a malt beverage (it didn’t call itself wine on the bottle but it tasted enough like wine for us, so it counts) Verdi Spumante. A Petite Sirah and a Niederösterreich … yeah that

    2012 - 08.30

My day consisted of sampling wine to my heart's content, followed by drinking wine to my heart's content. What did you do today?

Bridget’s sister is moving out of town so she some of the rest of their family where invited to join us for wine night. So we got the opportunity to here about Bridget life growing up.

I am so glad this isn’t a video show, because then you would know how poor my pronunciations are. I look and the type on one of this week’s wines and all I could say is, “no, no not even going to try.” So the only way I could advise to request this at your local liquor store is open this site on your phone point to Niederösterreich and say, “I want this.” You could do that or you could just ask for Gruber Veltliner by Grooner but what fun is that. If you don’t trust names you can’t read then you could get our other wine of the week Petite Sirah Vintner Blend by Ravens Wood, I knew how to say all of those words.

Nothing wrong with a few friends having a Ménage à Trois.

    2012 - 08.23

So this week we decided to throw caution to the wind and have ourselves a little Ménage à Trois and we all seemed to like it. So I guess we learned a little bit more about ourselves today.

I hope you didn’t mistake my use of the name of one of this week’s wines with anything else called, “Ménage à Trois”. You didn’t good, cause this week we tried out “Ménage à Trois Rose” and “Clos Du Bois” (don’t ask me how to pronounce that I haven’t a clue), both of which were rose’s. You could say we were in a rosy mood, but don’t.
